Cookie Policy
Version 1.0 · Last updated 2026-08-07
1. The short version
https://saanjha.ai does not set any cookies. It does not use local storage, session storage, tracking pixels, tag managers or analytics of any kind. There is no consent banner on this website because there is nothing to consent to.
That is unusual enough to be worth saying plainly, and specific enough to be checkable — open your browser's developer tools on any page of this site and look.
The rest of this document explains the scope of that claim, the one third-party request the site does make, and what the staff portal and the mobile app store instead.
2. What this policy covers
| Surface | What it is | Cookies |
|---|---|---|
| https://saanjha.ai | This website — the public marketing site | None |
| guru.saanjha.ai | The internal staff portal. Not open to members. | One strictly necessary session cookie |
| The Saanjha app | The Android app | None. Cookies are a browser mechanism; the app uses your device's secure storage instead |
This document sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes personal data generally. Where the two overlap, the Privacy Policy is the fuller statement.
3. This website
https://saanjha.ai is a static website. Every page is generated when the site is built and served as a fixed file. There is no application server, no session, and nothing for a cookie to identify.
Specifically, this site does not:
- set any cookie, first-party or third-party;
- write to
localStorage,sessionStorageor IndexedDB; - load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, Hotjar, or any comparable product;
- load fonts from a third party — the typeface is downloaded once when the site is built and served from our own domain, so your browser never contacts a font host;
- fingerprint your device, or attempt to identify you across visits.
What our host records. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string — for security and abuse prevention. This happens for any website you visit and does not involve a cookie. It is covered in §3.2 of the Privacy Policy.
3.1 The one third-party request
The download page displays a QR code that is generated by a third-party service, api.qrserver.com. When that page loads, your browser fetches the image directly from that service, which means your IP address and user-agent string are disclosed to it, as they would be for any image loaded from another domain.
- The service is used only to draw a QR code containing our public Play Store link. No personal data is sent to it, and nothing about you is included in the request beyond what your browser sends to any host it contacts.
- It does not set a cookie readable by us.
- This request happens only on the download page. No other page on this site contacts any third party.
We intend to replace this with a QR code generated on our own infrastructure. Until we do, we would rather disclose it than describe this site as having no third-party requests at all.
4. The staff portal
guru.saanjha.ai is an internal portal used by Saanjha staff. It is not a member-facing surface, and you will not encounter it as a member. It sets exactly one cookie:
| Name | saanjha_staff |
| Purpose | Holds the signed-in staff member's session token. Without it there is no way to stay signed in between page loads. |
| Type | Strictly necessary |
| Expires | When the session expires, or on sign-out |
| Security flags | httpOnly, secure, sameSite=strict, path=/ |
| Set by | guru.saanjha.ai — first party to the portal. No third party can read it. |
httpOnly means the token is never readable by JavaScript running in the page. sameSite=strict means the browser will not send it on any request originating from another site, which closes cross-site request forgery outright. Both matter more than usual here, because a staff session can view personal data and issue refunds.
This cookie is strictly necessary: it exists solely to keep an authenticated user signed in, carries no analytics or advertising function, and cannot be declined while using the portal. Signing out deletes it.
5. The Saanjha app
Cookies are a browser mechanism, and the Saanjha app is not a browser. It stores the equivalent information in your device's own protected storage — the iOS Keychain or Android EncryptedSharedPreferences — rather than in a cookie:
| Stored | Why |
|---|---|
| Your sign-in and refresh tokens | So you are not asked to verify your phone number every time you open the app |
| Your notification preferences and device token | So notifications reach the right device, and only the ones you asked for |
| A local cache of content you have already seen | So the app works on a poor connection |
None of this is shared with a third party for advertising. Deleting the app removes all of it from your device; deleting your account is a separate action, described at Delete your account.
6. Why there is no cookie banner
Consent requirements attach to cookies and similar technologies that are not strictly necessary — analytics, advertising, personalisation, cross-site tracking. This website uses none of them, and the staff portal's single cookie is strictly necessary and not open to members.
A banner asking you to accept cookies that do not exist would be theatre, and it would train you to dismiss a prompt that ought to mean something. So there isn't one.
7. Controlling cookies anyway
Nothing here requires you to act, but every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies for any site — usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking cookies entirely will not affect this website, because it does not use any. It will prevent staff from signing in to the internal portal.
Browsers also offer a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. We do not track you, so there is nothing for such a signal to switch off — but we honour it as a matter of course if that ever changes.
8. If this changes
We may later want analytics, to understand which parts of this site are useful. If we do:
- this document will be updated before that code ships, not after;
- anything that is not strictly necessary will be off until you agree to it — no pre-ticked boxes, and no "by continuing to browse you accept";
- declining will remain as easy as accepting, and will not degrade the site;
- we will name the specific product used and what it collects, rather than describing it as "our partners".
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, consent must be free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous, and as easy to withdraw as to give. Those are the standards we intend to meet here.
