Frequently asked questions

Everything about how Saanjha works, for buyers, sellers and service providers. If your question isn’t here, write to us — the address goes to a mailbox that is actually read.

The basics

What is Saanjha?
Saanjha is a community-powered commerce and services platform — neighbours, families, local stores, service providers and delivery partners, connected through the community you already live in.
How is Saanjha different from quick commerce?
Quick commerce optimises for immediate delivery. Saanjha optimises for buying smarter, together — community buying, trusted local sellers, planned purchases, group buying and local services.
How do I join a Saanjha community?
You join with an invite from a neighbour who is already a member of that community. Saanjha is currently in private pilot with a small number of societies.
Can I join multiple communities?
Yes. Members can belong to more than one community — for example, your home society and a parents’ or interest group nearby.
What is community buying?
A community member announces they’re heading to a wholesale market, other members place their requirements, and the buyer purchases in bulk and distributes to the community — a core Saanjha feature, sometimes called a “trip.”

Buying and services

Can I buy from local stores?
Yes. Browse stores and sellers active in your community, compare what different sellers are charging, and place orders directly.
How do I find services near me?
Saanjha lists local service providers — electricians, salons, tutors, doctors, pandits and more — with profiles, availability and booking, the same neighbours-first way you’d ask a friend for a recommendation.
Can sellers offer discounts?
Yes. A seller can offer a referral incentive to new community members (for example, a rupee amount off a first qualifying purchase), and can run promotions on a community trip they organise.
How do referrals work?
A member or seller can invite others with a referral code or a seller-funded welcome offer. Sellers set their own referral terms; the platform doesn’t fund them.

For sellers and providers

How do sellers join Saanjha?
A shopkeeper registers a storefront directly in the app — name, category, address and community — then submits it for verification before it becomes visible to buyers.
How does Saanjha help local stores?
A store gets a digital storefront, its own QR code for customer acquisition, referral incentives, shopping-list consolidation, and a dashboard with real order and revenue numbers.
What is B2B procurement?
Saanjha aims to connect brands, distribution partners and local sellers — negotiating with brands on behalf of its seller network so local stores get better procurement access. This is a developing part of the platform, not a promise of specific savings.

Trust and verification

What is a Saanjha Verified Business?
A badge earned once a business passes checks such as identity, address, mobile verification and community vouching. It reflects real checks, not a guarantee of product quality or that every risk is eliminated.
How does Saanjha verify businesses?
Checks can include business information, owner information, mobile verification, location, documentation where applicable, and business photographs — sometimes with a physical visit.

Delivery and payments

Can sellers deliver products?
Yes — with their own delivery staff today, with shared local Saanjha delivery partners and external logistics options as the network grows.
How does Saanjha delivery work?
Three models: a store’s own delivery staff, shared local Saanjha delivery partners, or external logistics partners. A delivery partner can potentially serve multiple stores and communities.
Can a delivery person serve multiple stores?
Yes — that is the point of a shared, local delivery network: one delivery partner efficiently covering several stores and communities rather than each store needing its own fleet.
Can I pay by UPI?
Yes. Payments go directly to the seller’s own UPI ID.
Can I pay cash?
It depends on how a store delivers. A store’s own delivery staff can accept cash, UPI or prepaid orders. External Saanjha delivery partners do not collect cash under the initial operating model — UPI to the store, or prepaid.

Apps and account

Is Saanjha available on Android?
Yes, available now on Google Play.
Is Saanjha available on iPhone?
Yes, available now on the App Store.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, Profile → Delete account, confirmed with a code. Without the app, email privacy@saanjha.ai from your registered address. Some order, payment and verification records are retained in pseudonymised form where the law requires it.
